Historical Currency Exchange Rate Charts

Our currency exchange rates charts now allow you to plot up to 14 years of data, depending on the currency. A nice example is the chart below, which shows the Japanese Yen to US Dollar exchange rate since October 5, 1993.

The following table shows the earliest available date for each currency in our database.

Our historical series only goes back to January of 1994. We don’t have earlier exchange rates for the Mexican peso.

I am Director of the Library at Alvin Community College. I spent a few hours yesterday looking for a historical currency chart of the Norwegian Kroner. I tried Stockcharts which has many currency charts however the NOK ticker symbol is the same as Nokia. I have a friend who is interested in the relationship between the US Dollar and several othe Scandinavian countries since their currencies have appreciated appreciably against ours over time.
