Today is World Malaria Day, a day for recognizing the global effort to provide effective prevention and treatment of malaria. We currently have two thematic maps which help illustrate the impact of malaria on the population of our planet:
- Notified cases of malaria per 100,000 people – Note that Burundi, Timor-Leste, and Burkina Faso are the countries with the highest incidence rate.
- Percentage of children under five with fever receiving antimalarial drugs – Note that Liberia, Comoros, and the Gambia are at the top.
